A substantial and period oil painting of red geraniums growing in an earthenware flowerpot on a wooden deck. Signed lower left "C. Neijtzell de Wilde" (Dutch, 20th century), a listed botanical artist, and dated "1957." De Wilde is the author of Watercolors and Sketches, 1942-1945, (Franeker 1987) and other notable volumes of botanical illustration. Unframed
