Why We Love This

A Tuscan in the Kitchen: Recipe and Tales from My Home by Pino Luongo. New York: Clarkson Potter, 1988. First Edition. 240 pp. Hardcover with dust jacket. He was raised in Tuscany where he learned to cook from his mother. He fled to New York to avoid military service, and began his career as a busboy, later becoming a manager, and in 1983, he opened his first restaurant, Il Cantinori. Luongo is known for his hot temper and great food.
