Why We Love This

Drop-leaf Hepplewhite card table with drawer. Circa, late-1700s. A true Revolutionary-era table from a Washington, DC estate consignment. Rich walnut burl and solid hardwood legs. The top shows the grain of old broad plank walnut trees, which do not exist anymore. Beautifully tapered legs are approx. 2"W. The drawer is the full length of the table and has the original old brass knob. Stain on top is not removable and is probably ink. This table has been refinished to a soft sheen.
