Why We Love This

Jay Kirkman oil painting featuring Arazi, an American-bred Thoroughbred racehorse. Arazi's performance in the 1991 Breeder's Cup Juvenile (held at Churchill Downs that year) is to this day considered to be one of the most spectacular in racing history. Ridden by American jockey Pat Valenzuela, Arazi won by the largest margin in the race's history even though it was his first time running on dirt. This painting captures a truly fantastic moment in racing history. Image, 15" H x 18.5”L.
