Why We Love This

1940-1950 watercolor on paper of a beach landscape by Dutch-Californian expressionist Richard Van Wingerden (1893-1969). Van Wingerden worked on several WPA murals in San Francisco and was part of the Marin-Sonoma art scene. He studied with Thomas Hart Benton at the Art Students League in New York and the Institute of San Francisco. Unframed. Estate stamped with artist's signature, lower right. Shipped with standard size archival matting.
