Why We Love This

Cotton pillow hand-embroidered by the Otomí artisans from the mountains of the Mexican state of Hidalgo. These gorgeous designs are said to be inspired by the wall paintings on cliffs in the region. The back is solid cream and there is cream piping around the perimeter of the pillow. Bottom gold zipper closure.

About Alegria Home

After nearly a decade in NYC, textile designer Allison Jones found herself in Mexico City. Supporting her husband in a tour abroad, she soon discovered the rich textile traditions of Latin America. Shortly after arriving, she connected with artisans in Mexico and Guatemala and thus began Alegria Home. Alegria, meaning "joy" in Spanish, defines the company’s philosophy. Alegria supports artisans in developing countries and helps give them a market for their beautiful products.
