Why We Love This

Out-of-Doors In The Holy Land: Impressions of Travel in Body and Spirit by Henry Van Dyke. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1908. First edition. 325 pp. With 12 color plates. Owner's brief inscription on the front endpaper, both endpapers browning, but a very good copy in blue cloth stamped in an elaborate pattern of gilt and colors by book designer Margaret Armstrong, top edge gilt.
As described by Barbara Farnsworth

About Barbara Farnsworth

My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
