Why We Love This

Miss Lollipop's Lion by Judy Varga. New York: William Morrow, 1963. Weekly Reader edition. 34 pp. Illustrated by the author. This Weekly Reader Book made Judy Varga famous in the world of children's books. A notable feature of the Weekly Reader books were the excellent period style graphics on the endpapers. Remnant of removed bookplate on endpaper. Slight soiling on a few pages.

About Batten Road

Batten Road was born in the ‘70s when a crazed book-lover returned from college to work in Soho at one of the country's (world's??) most famous Art & Architecture bookstores. To feed the addiction (and rent), she quickly picked up two other jobs so the love affair with books need not end. Eventually, the addiction grew to hunting for wonderful decorative accessories, furniture, tabletop and lighting.
