Why We Love This

The Comedians by Graham Greene. NY: The Viking Press, 1966. First printing of the American edition. Set in Haiti during the last days of the murderous Papa Doc Duvalier regime, this is the last of a quartet of novels written by Greene over a 10-year period, from 1955 to 1965, that take place in Third World countries on the brink of political upheaval. Front edge of book and endpapers have beginnings of very faint foxing, otherwise an excellent copy.
