Why We Love This

An Omelette and a Glass of Wine, by Elizabeth David. New York: Viking, 1986. Second printing of the first American edition of the distinguished author's book of essays about food. With 328 pages and a dozen or so black-and-white illustrations from drawings and photographs. This is some of the 20th-century's finest food writing, and is a fine copy in boards and dust jacket. A remainder mark on the bottom edge.

About Barbara Farnsworth

My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
