Product Information

Vintage; 1980s
Very Good; minor paint wear, light crease upper center
oil on canvas
29" L x 1" W x 44" H

Why We Love This

1984 oil on canvas abstract figure dancing in high heels by Swedish artist Anna Poole (1960-2012). Poole re-imagined the classic Bay Area figurative themes of water and bathing with a sensual spirit and a primal energy. After leaving Sweden to study at the SF Art Institute, she spent a big part of her life living on a houseboat in the San Francisco Bay together with her husband, and also explored the tropical islands of Panama in their sloop sailboat. Signed, lower right. Unframed.
