Why We Love This

Pastel and ink on paper cityscape entitled St. Mark's Church, San Francisco, dated "September 1970" by Oakland artist, educator and Doctor of Fine Arts, Rip Matteson (1920-2011). Matteson served as the president of the Carmel Art Association (1960s) and received numerous awards including the Phelan Award for Achievement in Art, the El Cerrito Memorial Award and recognition as an artist by the Carmel Arts Festival. Unframed. Signed lower left. Shipped with standard archival mat.
