Why We Love This

Antique French hunting mirror, used in the 1800s to hunt skylarks. Known in France as "miroir aux alouettes," or skylark mirror. A string would be attached to the stake, when pulled the bird would move and the mirrors catch the light attracting birds. This practice has long been banned in France and these unusual objects are now collected purely for their decorative folk art value.
