Why We Love This

Distinguished 19th-century landscape. The exceptional rendering, in the 18th-century English tradition, shows a peaceful scene with figures and a goat walking along a path which leads to a small boat and a trio of sailors. Blue mountains rise from the distance across the water. Circa 1880. Displayed in a detailed 19th-century giltwood and gesso frame.
