Why We Love This

Max Ernst, edited by David Larkin. New York: Ballantine, 1975. First Edition Thus. Unpaginated, approximately 40 pages. Color reproductions on every other page. Not an easy artist to classify, Ernst was a bit of a Romantic, an Expressionist and a great experimenter with materials, including collage.

About librarylions

Julie Goldman has been collecting books all her life. As a child, she spent many days haunting the used book stores on 4th Avenue in NYC with her father. Most collectors become booksellers out of necessity, and Goldman began selling about 15 years ago. The library lions are the pair of stone lions who guard the New York Public Library. Their names are Patience and Fortitude. When you place an order with librarylions it will receive the attention and treatment it deserves.
