The Buntling Ball. A Greco-American play by Edgar Fawcett. New York: Funk Wagnalls, 1885. Presumed First Edition. Lavish gilt-decorated hardcover, issued without dust jacket. 154 pp. Subtitled "Being a Poetical Satire on New York Society," text consists of verse contained within red lined borders. A few black-and-white illustrations. Six pages of book adverts at end. This copy does not include the pink "guess the author" paper, but a remnant is attached, inside front cover. Unmarked.
