Pair of green glazed miniature wardrobes. During the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), tombs were furnished with many pieces of furniture to make life comfortable for the deceased. Purchased in Hong Kong in the 1990s.

A native of Brazil, acclaimed San Francisco-based interior designer Antonio Martins has an uncommon global vision. He started his career in Switzerland, where he acquired an appreciation for European design. From Switzerland he moved to Venice, to Frankfurt, then to Hong Kong in the early 1990s for 11 years, where he became immersed in Asian arts and cultures, from Chinese furniture to Shan sculpture from Thailand to Indonesian textiles.
