As described by William Stafford

Louis van Houtte was a Belgian horticulturist best known for his journal Flore des Serres et des Jardins de l'Europe, with 2000 colored plates in 23 volumes published between 1845 and 1883. These antique prints come from that work. Each print is presented in a handmade silver leaf églomisé frame made in the 18th-century French tradition. The antique style conservation board matte is acid free to Fine Art Trade Guild standard. Each piece is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
