As described by
Giovanni Battista Passerio (1694-1780), Antiquary to the Grand Duke of Tuscany, was one of the most notable and honored archaeologists of his time. These images, which come from his book Picturae Etruscorum in Vasculis, published in Rome in 1767, reflect his belief in the superiority of Etruscan over Greek civilization. This copper-plate black and white image is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
