This original lithograph is from Urbain Dubois and Emile Bernard’s La Cuisine Classique, which was published in Paris in 1874. Dubois and Bernard were chefs to the King and Queen of Prussia. The exquisite illustrations are from menus prepared for state visits by European royalty and include a special menu arranged for President Buchanan of the United States.
This hand-colored image is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
About the Seller
The images which make up Trowbridge Vintage Collections come from Martin Trowbridge’s personal print archive, which he has built up over the past 30 years. Martin is an avid collector of copperplate engravings and has an impressive trove of more than 20,000 images locked away in the vaults at his London gallery.
