Why We Love This

This painting table has most of its original thin lacquer finish and standard mitered frame construction with a floating panel, everted flanges and straight legs with well-defined upturned horse hoof feet. The surface of the table has developed a beautiful mature patina. This style has not often survived, due to its simple and austere structure, avoiding the use of stretchers, braces or spandrels to reinforce the legs, providing a minimalist frame of elegant proportions.
