This pieces hails from Victorian-era, England, 1890 and is displayed in a wood frame. During this time, the wealth of the gentry was measured in part by the size and beauty of the poultry they bred. Both ladies and gentlemen competed fiercely in breeding prize poultry in local and regional English fairs.
