Why We Love This

Meandering snake motifs, which are mystical symbols of happiness, line the edges of the sparsely colored field, complementing the subdued walnut brown motifs that are used throughout the latticework pattern and in the ancient symbols that dot the field. Beige checkers paired with walnut brown accents create an inventive latticework pattern constructed using a series of tiny checker modules.

About Nazmiyal Collection

Jason Nazmiyal, owner of the Manhattan-based rug company that bears his name, has been buying and selling antique and vintage rugs for three decades. His goal is not merely to find and offer the finest handcrafted rugs—worthy though that goal is—but also to share his knowledge of and passion for the art form. His collection, which ranges from Moroccan runners to Swedish flat-weaves to antique Oushaks, shows that he continues to achieve both ambitions.
