Why We Love This

Sleep please. This adorable 12x18 handprinted letterpress poster began from an original Roll illustration, hand carved into a wood block by yours truly, and then we paired it with 100 year old wood type. These were printed one a time on recycled French paper, heavy 80# cover in "cream", dreamy evening colors of dusky blue and warm gray, hand cranked one at a time on the trusty Vandercook. Hand drawn, hand cut and hand cranked....letterpress printed by hand.

About Roll&Tumble Press

We are Christie and Caleb, partners in art and life. Christie, former painter turned letterpress printer and Caleb, art school dropout, turned tattoo artist, along with our three rescue dogs make up the team at Roll&Tumble Press. We print our work using traditional letterpress methods. We begin with an original illustration, handcarved into wood or linoleum, we add antique type, all hand-set and print them one at a time on vintage presses....all this magic happens in the Sunny South.
