Why We Love This

Exquisitely woven Hermes cashmere and silk scarf. Classic Cheval Turc design by Christiane Vauzelles features a nobly adorned horse attended to by a turbaned man, resplendent in livery togs. Cartouches fill each corner, displaying a sword swathed in a turban and fanciful tassels. Shell motifs abound. Scrolling decorates the borders. Seductively subtle colorway. Meltingly soft vintage fabric. Herringbone weave. Care tag carefully removed. A rare find.
As described by The Emporium Ltd.

About The Emporium Ltd.

In 1985, a New York movie executive began buying antique English and French furniture, art, crystal and porcelain. Moving to Los Angeles, she added California pottery and Asian porcelain. The Emporium Ltd. was born out of that first collection. She still buys only what she would want in her own home. Her philosophy is simple: "Always buy a piece you love. You'll find a place for it. But if you didn't love it at full price, don't buy it on sale. It won't withstand the test of time."
