Why We Love This

Blanch, Lesley. Around the World in Eighty Dishes, The World Through a Kitchen Window. First Edition, 1955. 172 pages. Hardcover with dust jacket. Cookbook from Lesley Blanch, author of The Wilder Shores of Love. Illustrations are also by her. With recipes and stories from around the world. Sophisticated cuisine for the gourmand and the novice. Jacket is only fair, but Lesley Blanch is marvelous (and jackets for this title never wear well).

About Nick Harvill Libraries

California-based Nick Harvill Libraries specializes in out-of-print and rare books from the 20th century on fashion, design, art, social history, travel, Hollywood, and photography. NHL and its books have been profiled in Vogue, C Magazine, The Peak of Chic, Angeleno, Vogue Living, the Los Angeles Times, and American Express’s Black Ink Magazine. Elle Décor recommended NHL for its “hip vintage books” from a “smart young dealer.”
