As described by French 50s 60s

Unusually large pair of Japanese Meiji floor lamps rendered in cast bronze. The artisan's remarkable skill is evident in the intricately detailed depictions of plants and animals, including birds, snakes and squirrels. The Meiji era represents the first half of the empire of Japan (1868 -1912) and was named for the emperor of Japan. Rewired and in excellent working condition. Shantung shades, 18"Dia x 20"H.
