As described by
Reminiscent of Chinese cloisonné work and millefleur designs used by the Mughals, this rug features serrated, saz-leaf bouquets and a large variety of colorful flowers brought to life with tonal shading and minute details. Woven with intense shades of blue, purple, pink, and green, the floral sprays have a wonderful level of contrast from the brightly-colored field.
About the Seller
Jason Nazmiyal, the owner of the Manhattan-based rug company that bears his name, has been buying and selling antique and vintage rugs for three decades. His goal is not merely to find and offer the finest handcrafted rugs—worthy though that goal is—but also to share his knowledge of and passion for the art form. His collection, which ranges from Moroccan runners to Swedish flatweaves to antique Oushaks, shows that he continues to achieve both ambitions.
