Why We Love This

A first edition of Wimbledon: A Celebration, with text by John McPhee and photographs by Alfred Eisenstaedt. Published by The Viking Press in 1972 (NY). This copy is inscribed by Eisenstaedt to Time-Life editor Ralph Graves "To Ralph Graves / with every good wish / from his now tennis playing friend / Eisie." A fine copy, bound in green cloth, in a fine dust jacket. Illustrated with black and white and color photographs. Wimbledon, the tennis Mecca.
