Why We Love This

Faulkner, William. The Town. New York: Random House. 1957, first printing, "second state". A lovely copy of the middle novel in Faulkner's classic trilogy about the Snopes Family, in a second state jacket. Two variations of the first printing seem to have been issued; this one is known as the "second state", with rust-colored boards and green top-stain, white end-papers and black lettering to spine. Unclipped jacket has age-toning to spine and wear to edges, otherwise a fine copy.
