Why We Love This

A vintage polished chintz sofa found in Palm Springs, California. Like Monet's garden in Giverny come to life, it's awash in pastel-hued flowers seemingly plucked from the palette of the master himself and then plunked onto a wildly chic sofa that we imagine hailed from some fabulous 1960 desert estate. The perfect piece to add a splash of color to an all-white room.

About Madcap Cottage

"Imagine Nick and Nora Charles of The Thin Man film series-- martinis in hand, with Asta in tow--plunked down in the early 21st century. They would be our dream clients: sophisticated, witty, a bit irreverent, and dashing,” say John Loecke and Jason Oliver Nixon of NYC-based Madcap Cottage. Their design credo? “Banish the beige and the boring. Saturate your world in color-rich whimsy and sophistication. Most important, have fun with your home."
