Why We Love This

The Naga are an ancient tribal people found in the hills of Northeast India and parts of Burma with a rich tradition of textile weaving. After the cloth has been woven, small patches of embroidery are sometimes added using a porcupine needle. Knotted tassels finish this piece, which can be used as a throw or a wall hanging.

About The Loaded Trunk

The Loaded Trunk is the online source for unusual textiles, culturally inspired art and unique objects for the home. As an Army brat growing up all over the world, constantly surrounded by treasures, people, and food from other countries, these early experience ultimately led me to create The Loaded Trunk, a curated selection of my favorite worldly finds.
