Why We Love This

The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. New York: Epstein Carroll, 1961. First edition of a modern classic. Octavo, original blue cloth. First issue dust jacket, shows slight chipping. Signed by Jules Feiffer, the illustrator. A wonderful copy; pages are crisp, unread. Bright turquoise cloth with white lettering and the famous boy and dog with swallowed clock. Inscribed opposite title page "To Danny from Marion: Christmas 1961"
