John Cassell (1817-1865) was a British publisher born in Manchester. In his thirties he started a publishing business with the aim of supplying quality literature to the working classes. His firm issued The Popular Educator, the Technical Educator, The Magazine of Art, Cassell's Magazine, and numerous editions of standard works. Illustrations were a special feature of Cassell's popular book. Unframed.
