Why We Love This

Beautiful pagoda-style brass lamp featuring Chinese characters and the eight pillars of Tao along the body. Mounted on a heavy ebonized wood base. Wired with a three-way socket and in working condition. There was a small, handwritten, faded label taped to the lamp (see enhanced photo), the last line appears to read China during 2nd World War. Most likely this was brought back home by a member of the military (China was an ally against the Japanese).
