Why We Love This

Made by the Hammond Typewriter Company, New York. The Folding Hammond that appeared in 1923 was the last of the Hammond typewriters. Its unique circular typebar design would become the inspiration for the IBM Selectric element ball. This rare piece of machinery is no longer functional, for display only.

About TYPE B

TYPE B is a finely curated selection of typewriters by Donna Brady, who's been collecting, refurbishing and selling typewriters in person at the Brooklyn Flea for several years. Her offerings represent the best machines ever made, along with some rarities. Her clients include collectors, artists, designers, writers, enthusiasts, stylists, prop masters and first time buyers. Donna's typewriters have been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and on the CBS Sunday Morning News.
