Why We Love This

Pencil-signed etching of a Skye Terrier by German artist Kurt Meyer-Eberhardt, circa 1930. Displayed in a gilt frame with anti-glare glass. Meyer-Eberhardt was born in Leipzig in 1895. He studied at the Weimar Academy of Fine Arts, where he became a student under the artists Theodor Hagen and Lyonel Feininger.

About L. Brook Rare Books

I've been a dealer in rare books and art for over 30 years. I spent my early years training and providing animals for films, stage and TV. It was great fun, and evolved into a love for finding rare books and art, with a bias towards things "dog, horse and cat." I look for rarity, condition, and price when deciding which items to offer for sale. Uniqueness and value are what will drive my siteā€”and although my love of animals is obvious, I strive to offer items that are diverse and exciting.
