As described by Ilon Specht

Aesthetic-style brown transferware coffee or teapot with a hint of gold. The pattern is called Garfield Butterflies, 1885. The piece is marked on the underside with an impressed registration mark, the pattern name, the retail intials L.S. S. for Levi Strauss and Son, and the Beehive trademark that identifies the maker as Wallis Gimson, a pottery maker working in Fenton in the Staffordshire region of England from 1884 to '90.

About the Seller

Ilon Specht
Ilon Specht

When Ilon Specht was a creative director in NYC she alleviated the stress by collecting antiques. Constantly. "If it was beautiful, and I had a place for it, I bought it. And, if I didn't have a place for it, I bought it." Over the years, she used her finds to decorate. But, as much as she did, she couldn't decorate as fast as she could hunt and gather. So, in 2000, Hacienda was born, dedicated to the diversity of beauty. Run by Martin Sierra. And filled by Ilon.
