Love Affair: A Memoir of Jackson Pollock by Ruth Kligman. NY: William Morrow, 1974. 220 pages. Hardcover with dust jacket. 1951. The late Kligman's memoir of her 1956 love affair with Pollock, who was drinking heavily while his wife Lee Krasner was away. It ended after five months in a drunken car crash; he was killed, she survived. Dust jacket has an abrasion to upper right corner, toning to edges of flyleaves, two small closed tears.
About the Seller
Julie Goldman has been collecting books all her life. As a child, she spent many days haunting the used book stores on 4th Avenue in NYC with her father. Most collectors become booksellers out of necessity, and Goldman began selling about 15 years ago. The library lions are the pair of stone lions who guard the New York Public Library.
