As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

Don't Tell Alfred by Nancy Mitford. London: Hamish Hamilton, 1960. First UK printing. This is a very good first edition of the third in Mitford's highly sought-after novels about English society, transported here to Paris, where the Embassy becomes the focus for many misunderstandings. The same cast from her earlier Love in a Cold Climate, older but not really any wiser. Jacket, with Cecil Beaton design, has some dirt to back and a previous owner dedication.
