Why We Love This

Discarded wine bottle with basket woven from plastic detonator wires, made by miners in eastern Europe, probably Poland or Czechoslovakia. The miners made these for sale to tourists or other village people, often while waiting for their shifts to start. Circa 1960s, 1970s, 1980s or 1990s.
