As described by Billy Blue Eye

Red Wing Pottery (1878-1967) of Red Wing, Minnesota hired New York designer Belle Kogan in 1938. She worked for Red Wing creating hundreds of designs until the company closed in 1967. The "Tropicana Line", introduced in 1963, offered duo-tone pieces using strong color combinations. This vase with its embossed bird of paradise is finished in a high gloss brown metallic outer glaze and a chartreuse inner glaze. The vase is bottom incised "Red Wing USA B-2000". The B denotes a Belle design.
