Charles Cotton: The Compleat Gamester or, Instructions How to Play All Manner of Usual and Most Genteel Games. Barre, Mass., Imprint Society, 1970, 176 pages. One of 1,950 copies signed by illustrator Joseph Low who contributed numerous black and white sketches. First published in 1674, and covers billiards, bowling, chess, backgammon and many other table games, as well as riding, racing and archery. Very fine in full polished leather and a slipcase.
