As described by Relique

Set of five antique brass currency bracelets from the Mossi tribe of Burkina Faso, Africa, circa 1500. There are dozens of intricate and attractive bracelet and anklet shapes that were once made in various places all over Burkina Faso. In addition to being used as currency, many were intended to provide some form of protection to their owners. Displayed on a reclaimed iron stand. Each bracelet can be removed and is approximately 3"L x 2 1/2"W.
