Why We Love This

A Northern Christmas, Being the Story of a Peaceful Christmas in the Remote and Peaceful Wilderness of an Alaskan Island by Rockwell Kent. NY: American Artists Group, 1941. The first in a series of small books by AAG. Hardcover. 32 pages with 16 black and white wood engravings by Kent, who has crossed through "to everybody" on the dedication page and added names of recipients. Unsigned but with an offprint showing his handwriting and signature enclosed. Very fine in dust jacket.

About Barbara Farnsworth

My bookstore, an old wooden building at the edge of a New England trout stream, houses thousands of used, rare and antiquarian books, with particular emphasis on Home and Garden subjects -- food and drink, gardening, interior design and architecture. I also carry titles on fashion, children's books and literature. Books really do furnish a room, beautifully!
