Why We Love This

Seascape painting by Edwin Elias Witham, 1941. Signed lower right. Witham (1911-1998) was born in South Thomaston, Maine and graduated from Boston's School of Practical Art in 1933. He has exhibited at the Portland Museum of Art, and his work is on permanent display at the Peter Foulger Museum on Nantucket Island and the Farnsworth Art Museum. Displayed in a dark wood frame.
