As described by Christopher de Lotbinière's Rare Books

Jasper Johns: 17 Monotypes by Jasper Johns. West Islip, NY: ULAE, 1982. First printing. This was the result of a series of hand-painted backgrounds being applied to earlier proofs and Johns ending up with a whole new suite of work. Notice the initials "E.M." on some works, instead of "J. J.," a reference to a painting by Edward Munch, in which a skeletal arm appears, reinterpreted here by an arm print. Slight edge wear to jacket, otherwise perfect.
