    As described by ModHaus

Gouache and ink painting of a botanical study of a group of flowers, most likely by a German artist, signed "R. Hottenroth" and titled Akelei (German for the columbine flower). Retains original frame shop label for Brooklyn's Loeser Gallery on verso, which indicates the artwork was purchased in Paris.
