One Kings Lane, Inc. (“One Kings Lane”) is committed to ethical and responsible conduct in our supply-chain processes by respecting the rights of all individuals involved in the process. Our goal is to conduct business only with vendors, suppliers, and other business partners that comply with applicable standards and requirements, and offer products that are produced in safe, fair, and nondiscriminatory working conditions.
One Kings Lane’s Vendor Code of Conduct (the “Code of Conduct”) sets forth our principles that vendors and suppliers must conduct business in a lawful, ethical and responsible manner. In response to the requirements of the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act, we disclose as follows:
We vet our vendors through an internal screening process and conduct an internal assessment of the risk that the vendor will not comply with the Code of Conduct, or applicable law and statutes. For vendors engaging in business in high-risk regions, our third party agents evaluate and address risks of human trafficking and slavery.
We use third party agents to audit vendors that meet certain risk-related criteria and to evaluate their compliance with our Code of Conduct. Independent audits and inspections of these vendors are announced, and these vendors are required to cooperate with any remedial efforts to ensure future conformance.
Under the Code of Conduct, our suppliers are required to certify that they will conduct business in compliance with applicable law, including, among other things, without child labor, without forced or compulsory labor, without discrimination and in compliance with health and safety, and environmental laws.
If we learn that one of our suppliers has failed to comply with our Code of Conduct, we will work with our third party agent and vendor to identify the cause of the non-compliance and to develop a corrective action plan to assure future compliance. We believe that this strategy is in the best interest of our vendors, our employees and our customers. Remedial efforts may also include additional audits or inspections. In the event of continued non-conformance or material violations of the Code of Conduct, we may terminate our business relationship with the vendor.
