These highly sought after, unique dogs echo a rich royal legacy inspired by Queen Victoria's beloved "Dashy".  This pair is of exceptional quality and they are an original pair. They have a separate front leg and are beautifully detailed with hand-painted colors. Most Staffordshire figures made from 1740 to 1900 were produced by small potteries and makers' marks are generally absent. One dog has a discreet professional repair at the ankle.
